Here's our District 3-AAAA girls' basketball rankings for the 2012-13 season. Records through Feb. 4. Rankings are independent of D3 power ratings used for seeding purposes.

1. Wilson (18-2) – last week: 1 – After witnessing the full-strength Bulldogs finish a 3-0 week by devouring CD East on Saturday, we're wondering if any challenger can slow down Carley Brew and Ivory Bailey?

2. Central Dauphin (17-4) – last week: T5 – The Rams do run hot and cold, but Karen Hicks has one tough unit when they share the basketball. Learning curve continues Wednesday when the Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division will be settled.

3. Cumberland Valley (17-4) – last week: 4 – Good teams find a way and that's exactly what the Eagles did against talented Commonwealth foe State College last week. Oh, yeah, CV also decked a pretty good Parkland side, as well.

4. Manheim Twp. (18-2) – last week: T5 – The Section I champs polished off McCaskey and Hempfield and now set their sights on winning the Lancaster-Lebanon League Tournament.

5. Dover (21-0) – last week: 2 – The Eagles stick inside the Top 5 because of that perfect record. But are those ultra-thin victories over Northeastern and Spring Grove a sign of what's ahead?

Dropped out: CD East

CLOSING IN

Lampeter-Strasburg (19-1)
