Nicole Rupnik, a junior forward for Cedar Cliff, made her verbal commitment to play field hockey at Bucknell University in March.
Rupnik scored 12 goals and had seven assist for the Colts, a District 3-AAA qualifier last fall.
Bucknell was 8-10 last fall. One other midstate player, Kelsey Kauffman of Cedar Crest, is on the Bison's roster.
The coaching staff, lead by head coach Jeremy Cook, was one of the reasons Rupnik choose the Lewisburg school.
“Their credentials are amazing and I am so excited to be joining their program and learning from them,” Rupnik said. “I had the opportunity to meet some of my future teammates and they were so nice and welcoming. I can't wait to be a part of the team.”
Rupnik said that she plans on choosing a science related major, but has not decided which one yet.
Cedar Cliff goalie Maura Jacobs verbally committed to American Univeristy last fall.
