GIRLS' TRACK AND FIELD
LEBANON COUNTY
Annville-Cleona has a solid corps coming back after a successful 2013. Samantha Becker and Avree Wright both won medals at the PIAA Class AA Meet, third place in the pole vault and fourth place in the shot put, respectively. Another senior, high jumper Alex Siebecker, won the District 3 gold medal. The Dutchmen should be in the mix for the Lancaster-Lebanon League 3 title, and may improve on their nine district medals from last spring.
Northern Lebanon head coach Mark Opreska said that the Vikings have the talent level to win meets in L-L 3, but he has to be careful not to overwork the athletes due to low numbers.
Cedar Crest has a few consistent point scorers in thrower Shanna Sweigart, sprinter Katie Gable and middle distance runner Haleigh Echard. But the Falcons will need others to contribute to compete in L-L 1.
A year ago, Lebanon was successful in the pole vault with both Erin Winters and Jeannie Showers medaling at districts. The Cedars are looking to spread some more success around now, but only have one senior with thrower Briana Taylor.

TRI-VALLEY LEAGUE
Greenwood went 6-2 last year and have nine seniors back, including state-qualifying thrower Emily Fisher, so the Wildcats figure to be in the mix for the Tri-Valley title this spring.
East Juniata head coach Mark Ritzman said that Megan Hart should do well in the hurdles races and the jumps while Amber Knouse should to the same in the sprints, as the Tigers look to improve on a 2-6 record from last year.
