Back-door cuts: Perhaps all it takes is a former undersized power forward to get teams lacking length to realize their potential, but the twentysomething Weaver has done a terrific job coaxing max effort out of smallish groups thus far. And since UD won’t be packing much size, the fourth-year skipper will try to work the same magic once again. Not a lot of varsity experience in Elizabethville either, so Weaver will be relying on Ney’s leadership qualities to calm the Trojans early. He’s also hoping this group buys into his defensive approach and digs in at that end of the floor. If UD can survive early and bag some confidence, Trojans should have the Foster Gym faithful cranked up by the time the back end of the schedule arrives.
Projected order of finish: 5thof 9.
First game: Friday, Dec. 6 vs. Kutztown in the Tulpehocken Tip-Off Tournament. 6 p.m. start.
First home game: Tuesday, Dec. 10 vs. Greenwood. 7:30 tip.
