LINE MOUNTAIN Eagles

District and PIAA classification: 4-AA

Head coach: Craig Reichard (3rd season at Line Mountain, 18-27).

2012-13 record: 13-10 overall, 11-5 in the Tri-Valley League. Reached District 4-AA playoffs, but lost to Canton in opening round.

Players: Elijah Zablosky, 6-2 jr F

                 Kellan Masser, 5-10 jr G

                 Brady Michael, 5-8 jr G

                 Justin Michael, 5-11 jr G/F

                 Dylan Bartholomew, 5-11 so G/F

                 Logan Ingram, 5-11 so G/F

                 Shjon Kern, 5-10 so G

                 Kurt Mace, 5-8 so G

                 Travis Hartman, 5-10 fr G

Back-door cuts: While Reichard’s Eagles include a number of players who experienced last season’s run to the District 4-AA playoffs — in complementary roles — many of those same youngsters are being counted on to become go-to players in 2013-14. So it’s safe to say that a Line Mountain program short on experience with no seniors and little size is in one of those inevitable transition phases that many smaller school programs encounter. Fortunately for the Eagles, several other clubs are in similar development situations. How quickly Reichard can get his youngsters up to speed is the key. Should be better second time around.

Projected order of finish: 9thof 9.

First game: Friday, Dec. 6 vs. Mifflinburg in the Mifflinburg Tip-Off Tournament. 7:30 start.

First home game: Friday, Dec. 13 vs. Midd-West. 7:30 tip.
