LANCASTER - Wilson senior linebacker Dominic Moyer, an All-State pick by three media outlets this past season, and a former L-L League Section 1 Linebacker of the Year, has committed to Division II Alderson Broaddus College in Phillippi, West Virginia.
The Battlers played a club season last fall - going 9-2 in the process - and AB will field its first full-time varsity team in 2013 for the first time since 1930.
The Battlers will compete in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Association, along with Charleston, Concord, Fairmont State, Glenville State, Seton Hill, Shepherd, West Liberty, West Virginia State and West Virginia Wesleyan.
Moyer was a monster from his LB spot this past season for Wilson.
He led the Bulldogs' top-ranked defense with 96 solo tackles and 10 sacks, and he forced three fumbles, helping Wilson win its fifth undefeated Section 1 championship in a row and beat Harrisburg in the District 3 AAAA championship game.
