Elizabethtown wrapped up the Section 2 championship on Tuesday.

LANCASTER - Take a bow, Elizabethtown.
The Bears were the first L-L League boys’ basketball team to clinch an outright section championship this season on Tuesday.
E-town (10-2, 12-5) bumped off Cocalico 50-43 and locked up the Section 2 title for the second season in a row.
The Bears lead Cocalico (5-7, 8-8) and Lebanon (5-7, 7-9) by five games with four games to go, and thus wrapped up the section title and clinched an L-L League playoff bid.
It looks like Lebanon and Cocalico will duke it out for second place - and the last league playoff spot from Section 2.
Meanwhile, McCaskey and Donegal both improved to 12-0 in league games with wins on Tuesday, and the Red Tornado and the Indians clinched at least a tie for section championships.
In Section 1, McCaskey (15-2) leads Warwick (8-4, 10-8) by four games with four to go. The Warriors won their fifth game in a row on Tuesday, compliments of a 41-39 win over Hempfield.
FYI: Warwick at McCaskey on Friday, so a Tornado win locks up an outright crown.
In Section 3, Donegal (18-0) leads Northern Lebanon (8-4, 13-5) and Lampeter-Strasburg (8-4, 10-7) after a 49-42 win over the Pioneers on Tuesday.
Northern Lebanon had its 5-game winning streak snapped in a 55-54 OT loss to Manheim Central.
Donegal has Manheim Central on Thursday, and if the Indians win, they get the outright Section 3 crown.
UPDATED L-L League boys’ basketball standings.
More from Tuesday’s games …
SECTION 1
McCaskey 87, Penn Manor 36
Warwick 41, Hempfield 39
Cedar Crest 52, Manheim Township 39
Warwick won its fifth game in a row and Cedar Crest won its sixth game in a row; Falcons (7-5, 11-7) are now in a nutty 3-way tie for third place with Hempfield (7-5, 9-7) and Manheim Township (7-5, 9-8). McCaskey, winners of 15 in a row, is large and in charge. And if Tornado beats Warwick on Thursday, the Warriors could be looking at some kind of a crazy tie. Looks like four teams for one spot down the stretch. Buckle up.
SECTION 2
Elizabethtown 50, Cocalico 43
Lebanon 46, Conestoga Valley 40
Solanco 44, Ephrata 42
Bears polish off the title with a 7-point win over the closest contender. While E-town bones up for its playoff opponent, Cocalico and Lebanon will have at it for second.
SECTION 3
Donegal 49, Lampeter-Strasburg 42
Manheim Central 55, Northern Lebanon 54
Garden Spot 45, Elco 28
Indians remain lone unbeaten boys’ team in the L-L League; four to go for a perfect regular-season run. Eye-opener was Manheim Central’s OT win over Northern Lebanon, which had its 5-game tear snapped - and set up a second-place tie with L-S. Don’t count out the Barons (7-5, 11-5) here either.
SECTION 4
Lancaster Catholic 53, Annville-Cleona 35
Lancaster Mennonite 59, Lebanon Catholic 55
Columbia 59, Pequea Valley 55
Crusaders (9-3, 12-5) remain alone in first, but a facelift below them; Lancaster Mennonite took care of Lebanon Catholic 59-55 in a second-place battle, putting the Blazers (8-4, 12-6) a game behind Lancaster Catholic. Beavers (7-5, 12-5) host the Crusaders on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the second game of a girls/boys doubleheader on Assumption Hill. Key game for Lebanon Catholic in the section chase.
