LANCASTER - Former Manheim Central standout quarterback Matt Nagy is staying in the NFL.
The Kansas City Chiefs announced several hirings on Friday, including Nagy, who will become the team's quarterback coach.
Nagy politely declined to comment when reached Friday.
Nagy, who went on to star for the University of Delaware and then in the Arena Football League after his prep days with the Barons, served as an intern coach and then as the offensive quality control specialist for the Eagles under Andy Reid.
Reid was fired the day after the team's final regular season game, and he was recently hired as the Chiefs coach.
According to a press release on the Chiefs official Weg page, Reid is bringing along a couple of his assistants from Philadelphia, including Nagy, Doug Pederson, who will be the Chiefs offensive coordinator; and Eric Beinemy, who wll be the Chiefs running backs coach.
