Tack on another basketball-centric honor for sparkling Susquehanna Twp. backcourt standout Nehemiah "Bud" Mack.
And this one carries plenty of national flavor.
Mack was one of 26 players to receive honorable mention.
Mack's consistent string of terrific efforts — Mack knocked down 59 treys while shooting better than 50 percent from the arc, shot 80 percent from the free-throw line, dropped five dimes per contest and frequently locked up on the opposition's top backcourt player — landed him a first-team nod on the Class AAA all-state team selected by a panel of Pennsylvania sports writers.
Tagged most valuable player of the District 3-AAA tournament, Mack also earned a first-team spot on PennLive.com's Big 15 team.
Lincoln Park Charter's Maverick Rowan, the Class A player of the year, was the only other Pennsylvania player recognized by MaxPreps. Rowan, who netted 37 points in the PIAA Class A title game, was a second-team selection.
In other Susquehanna Twp. hoops news, 5-10 senior lead guard Gabe Mack recently picked up a scholarship offer from NCAA Division II Georgian Court (N.J.). A third-team Class AAA all-state pick and a PennLive.com Big 15 selection, Gabe Mack averaged nearly 11 ppg this past season.
