THE CANNERS: Alex Ramos’ bunch was reeling a bit from a fairly convincing Week 10 loss to Bermudian, but the Canners opened one last week and stunned Trinity 28-26 in the 3-AA quarterfinals. Confidence returned! RB Oakley Fissel (23) is a mere 55 yards shy of 1,000 for the season, but it was FB Joe Hurda (41) busting loose for 135 yards vs. the Shamrocks. Find a way to slow the Eagles, and a second straight upset isn’t out of the question.
THE EAGLES: You know, Bermudian Springs has yielded more than one touchdown and double-digit points just once all season, and that was the 37-21 triumph over Biglerville two weeks ago. But the annoyance at allowing a few extra touchdowns was more than balanced out by the pair of 100-yard running backs the Eagles unleashed. That duo, Zach Stroup (31) and Tristan Sponseller (27), will be after it yet again.
MORROW SAYS: In what’s been such a terrific season for Bermudian Springs (-12), it now must avoid looking ahead and simply take care of its geographical neighbor.
