Annville-Cleona is in the market for a new varsity girls’ basketball coach.
A-C athletic director Tommy Long confirmed Wednesday morning that Jaime Walborn has resigned her post as the Little Dutchmen’s coach.
The former Lebanon Catholic standout and 1,000-point scorer during her prep days with the Beavers spent the last five seasons on A-C’s bench, and she had plenty of success guiding the Dutchmen.
A-C went 49-49 under Walborn’s watch, including a 16-11 campaign two years ago, when the Dutchmen finished third in the District 3-AA tournament and went to the PIAA playoffs for the first time in three decades.
A-C went 12-12 overall this past season, including a second-place finish in the L-L League Section 4 race for the second year in a row.
The Dutchmen fell to neighbor Lebanon in the first round of the L-L playoffs before being knocked out in the first round of the District 3-AA playoffs by Oley Valley.
Walborn is expecting her third child.
"I'm sad, but I need to be able to spend time with my kids," she told PennLive. "I am definitely going to miss it."
Long said he has started his search for a new coach.
There are now a pair of coaching vacancies in L-L girls' circles: Annville-Cleona and Lancaster Catholic.
