Former Harrisburg High School standout Robert Martin will be among three Rutgers University football recruits chatting live on NJ.com this afternoon. Martin will be joined by quarterback Giovanni Rescigno and two-way standout Andre Boggs, with potential for more.
Martin has a story to tell after committing to Rutgers the summer before a senior season that was cut short by a knee injury. He tore his ACL in the third quarter of the Cougars’ season-opener and had surgery two weeks later. He’ll enroll at Rutgers this summer after nearly a year of vigorous rehab.
“I'm just doing my rehab and working out in the weight room getting bigger and stronger. I'm on schedule,” Martin said in February. “This is my last month of rehab so, hopefully, I'll be able to take some nice strong strides very soon. That's what they want from me before I leave rehab.”
