Despite not winning the District 3 AAA tournament for the first time in four years, Hempfield's girls' volleyball team finds itslef in a familiar spot:
The state semifinals.
The Black Knights punched their tickets to the PIAA Final Four compliments of a 3-0 win over Mount Lebanon on Saturday at State College.
Hempfield won by game scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-14.
Morgan Lowe paced the Knights with 16 kills, as Hempfield advanced to Tuesday's semifinal round opposite North Allegheny.
