Plenty of tweaking in this week’s PennLive girls’ basketball Class AAA state rankings.
Our objective this week was to reward district champions — plus teams that continue to have hot seasons heading into the PIAA playoffs — so a pair of new squads graces our top 10 this week.
Red-hot West Perry, winners of 15 in a row and the freshly minted District 3 champ, checks in at 10, while 2-loss District 9 champ Bradford is at 9 heading into the state tournament.
The top three remain unchanged: District 12 champ Archbishop Wood, District 2 champ Scranton Prep, WPIAL champ Blackhawk and District 11 champ Bethlehem Catholic all stayed put.
That fearsome foursome has been near the top for a bulk of the season.
Hickory, which zoomed to 25-0 after winning the District 10 finale, got a bump.
But this top 10 definitely looks different after all the district tournaments played out.
Here is the Class AAA top 10 and honorable mention picks, with overall records heading into the state playoffs and home district in parenthesis …
