No more.
Shippensburg's Dylan Herb was tired of looking up at Big Spring's Tommy Rayhart on the podium and in every rankings list put out across the state.
So when the 195-pound bracket for the sectional tournament at Mechanicsburg was released, he circled the finals bout. That's where Herb was going to get payback.
It took overtime, but Herb got it done. He turned a reversal in the second tiebreaker segment and secured a 3-2 win over Rayhart, the No. 5 wrestler in the state, to earn his first sectional title and PennLive Wrestler of the Week honors.
The victory couldn't have come at a better time. Herb (28-1) is positioned in the bottom half of the District 3-AAA Championship bracket, away from Governor Mifflin's Jan Johnson, the favorite to win the class.
Wrestler of the Week will continue to run every Thursday throughout the postseason. Stay tuned to pennlive.com for features, recaps, brackets and more news through the PIAA Championships March 6-8.
