In conjunction with “High School Sports Live” — WHTM and Advanced Hoops are working together for the fifth year in a row — tonight’s scrap will be streamed live at PennLive.com.
Tip is scheduled for 8 p.m.
Cedar Cliff (12-9, 7-8), which ran its winning streak to three games Tuesday night with a 61-34 victory over Red Land, defeated Lower Dauphin 72-55 on Jan. 28. Jim Rowe’s Colts popped four players into double figures in that win, jetting to a 32-12 halftime lead while getting a combined 56 points from Zack Galic, Tyler Hoagland, Owen Shenk and Derek Ford.
Galic (15.3 ppg), Ford (12.3 ppg), Hoagland (12.0 ppg) and Shenk (11.2 ppg) all average in double digits for Rowe’s ballclub, which needs a victory to have any shot at a District 3-AAAA playoff berth. The Colts will go into tonight’s game at No. 23 in the power rankings, but only the top 20 advance.
Lower Dauphin (12-7, 8-6) has not played since falling to Cedar Cliff more than a week ago. While Colten Nagy dropped in 16 points and Tyler Roman chipped in 10 for Mark Hofsass’ Falcons, LD played without leading scorer Kaylor Kulina (12.9 ppg).
Out with a foot injury, Kulina may be able to play tonight.
Nagy (9.7 ppg), Ryan Naccarato (8.1 ppg) and Tommy Bowen (7.8 ppg) are the other top offensive threats for an LD side that has lost five of its last six. Currently 17 in the District 3-AAAA power rankings, the Falcons are trying to hang on to that postseason invite.
