LANCASTER - The good folks in the District 3 home office scrambled late Friday to update the football power rankings including the Week 10 games.

Week 10, however, is not over.

Hurricane Sandy forced several games to Saturday, so the official brackets won't be set until later in the weekend.

According to the projections, at least nine L-L League teams should be in the field, including this juicy projected first-round AAA game:

Manheim Central at Garden Spot in a battle of old Section 2 foes.

Looks like Wilson will be the No. 1 seed in AAAA; the Bulldogs clinched their fifth undefeated run through Section 1 in a row on Friday, and should sit atop the bracket after reigning district and state champ Central Dauphin fell to rival Central Dauphin East on Friday.

With a win Friday, Donegal finally jumped off the 10-line in AAA and appears to have earned a first-round home game as the 8-seed.

Again, these match-ups aren't official until after Saturday's games.

But here are the projections ...

AAAA
(16) Dallastown @ (1) Wilson
(15) McCaksey @ (2) Central Dauphin
(14) Mechanicsburg @ (3) Harrisburg
(13) Cedar Cliff @ (4) Penn Manor
(12) South Western @ (5) Governor Mifflin
(11) Exeter @ (6) Cumberland Valley
(10) Manheim Township @ (7) Lower Dauphin
(9) Chambersburg @ (8) Central York

This AAAA note: Harrisburg plays Saturday, so use pencil here, not ink. And should the Cougars win, they could - could - bump up to No. 2 and get a first-round game with McCaskey, which appears to have snuck in at 4-6 overall.

AAA
(16) Northern York @ (1) Bishop McDevitt
(15) Northeastern York @ (2) West York
(14) Red Land @ (3) Susquehanna Township
(13) Hershey @ (4) Lancaster Cahtolic
(12) West Perry @ (5) Cocalico
(11) Manheim Central @ (6) Garden Spot
(10) Spring Grove @ (7) Shippensburg
(9) Conrad Weser @ (8) Donegal

This AAA note: Lampeter-Strasburg is currently sitting at No. 17 and visits Conestoga Valley on Saturday at 1 p.m. If the Pioneers can pick off the Buckskins, they'll likely slide into the 16-slot ahead of Northern York, which lost Friday. That would also set up a first-round rematch of last year's district title game: L-S vs. Bishop McDevitt. Again, stay tuned. Still a lot of math to do.

AA will change on Saturday when (1) Wyomissing (9-0) takes on (3) Berks Catholic (9-0). And (6) Susquenita (7-2) also plays Saturday, so safe to say AA is far from settled.

A is also up in the air, with (4) Columbia (3-6) traveling to Fredericksburg to take on Northern Lebanon on Saturday at 1 p.m. A win and the Crimson Tide is safely in. A loss and (5) Camp Hill (4-6) is waiting to jump into the 4-spot. Keep your calculators handy just in case.

Again, the official brackets should/could be out Saturday night. Stay tuned.
