Central Pennsylvania is known for producing high quality high school wrestlers, both on the state and national level.
PennLive has decided to take a hard look at these athletes and rank the top 25 wrestlers in all of District 3 from 1989 to the present.
The criteria for wrestlers making the list include the number of district championships and performance at the state level. Difficult weight classes and performance against other top wrestlers was also considered.
PennLive will release No. 25 on Jan. 6 at noon on pennlive.com. A new position will be released each day, with No. 1 being posted on Jan. 30.
There will also be interactive polls, as well as lists of wrestlers that were just outside the top 25 in the rankings.
