RAIDERS FEELING ANYTHING BUT BLUE: Middletown, with coach Chris Hunter pushing all the right buttons up to this point, is your lone undefeated Capital team at the holiday break. The Blue Devils are off to a spiffy 7-0 start, and are 5-0 in the division, good for a 1-game lead over West Perry — who Middletown edged 33-32 last Friday to take over sole possession of the lead — and Susquenita, which is sailing right along at 7-1 overall. Jey Rivera/Ja’lynn Burton-Jones 1-2 punch combo has been outstanding for Middletown, which gets Gettysburg in an intriguing first-round game in Hershey’s holiday tourney, and gets back to division play Jan. 3 vs. Steel-High. Middletown hosts Susquenita on Jan. 7. Circle that one — in ink.

STREAKS — GOOD AND BAD: All kinds of winning/losing streaks in the Capital so far. Such as: Camp Hill has won four in a row; East Pennsboro has lost three in a row; Middletown is 7-0; Milton Hershey is 0-6; Northern York lost its first seven games before finally winning a nonleague game on Saturday; before Thursday’s win over winless Milton Hershey, Steel-High had lost three in a row; Susquenita has won five in a row; and West Perry won four games in a row before last Friday’s setback to Middletown.
