Trinity's Danny Jackson. - (MARK PYNES, The Patriot-News)

WHERE: 7 p.m. Friday, Memorial Stadium
RECORDS: Trinity 8-1, 6-0 Capital; Middletown 1-8, 1-5.

THE SHAMROCKS: Needed a third-quarter TD hook-up between QB Mike Boguski (7) and WR Brandon Kuntz (11) to win a hard battle with Susquenita last week. The return of RB Adam Geiger (22) certainly helped. More important was the stout work by LB Mike Kelly (61) and the Rocks D, which held the Hawks to 43 ground yards and picked three passes. Getting the ball to WR Danny Jackson (3) always helps, too.

THE BLUE RAIDERS: Climbed out of the basement behind a whopping 257-yard rushing performance by Chris Holloman (45) and sidecar RB Josh Matinchek (5). The Raiders piled up 459 yards in all and throttled Boiling Springs for its first win. Now, to pull its first upset, Rob Deibler’s defense must stand firm at scrimmage and keep Trinity’s hot arsenal at bay. That’s always easier said than done.

EPLER SAYS: Although Middletown has a chance to close its season in style, Trinity (-14), although a little nicked up, is still the odds-on favorite.
