Back-door cuts: Although Sherwood’s Barons may need a game or two to get Staffieri and Weiderrecht totally plugged in following Central’s spiffy postseason football run — then again, maybe not — the rest of a deep yet youthful side should be ready to go Friday night. There’s certainly enough talent on hand to make a run at a Section 3 title and maybe more, especially since Walsh is a matchup nightmare for opposing backcourts and there’s some length up front. Rising program that just continues to get better and better and one that hopes to have an even greater impact when postseason play arrives.
Projected order of finish: 2nd of 6.
First game: Friday, Dec. 6 vs. Octorara in the Hamburg Tip-Off Tournament. 6 p.m. start.
First home game: Wednesday, Dec. 11 vs. Conestoga Valley. 7:30 tip.
