Back-door cuts: Flush with optimism and enthusiasm since all five starters return, Shorey’s Buffaloes genuinely believe they can make some legitimate noise and take a serious shot at collaring the 2013-14 TVL title. Will they? Perry County partisans can take a look for themselves next weekend when the Buffs make the short jaunt to Greenwood to face the five-time champs. That’ll be an early benchmark. While Criswell is a sizable handful up front who can finish in a number of ways, Jones and Dorman provide Shorey’s outfit with a long, athletic guard tandem that can really get after people defensively. A quick start could get these guys moving in a hurry.

Projected order of finish: 3rdof 9.

First game: Friday, Dec. 6 vs. Millville. 7:30 p.m. start.
