Three Mid-Penn Capital Division teams ignored the heat and staged a great match at Sunset Golf Course on Wednesday, with Boiling Springs and Trinity tying for first with a 432 and East Pennsboro finishing one off the pace.
Steven Jumper was low medalist and carried the day for the Bubblers (19-1) with a 74, and Eric Alexander added an 85. Ben Fodness and Liz Ruzzolo both shot 84s and Ethan Murphy had an 85 to pace Trinity (14-6). Vince Greenholt shot his low round of the fall, an 84, and Chase Morgan bested his low score of the fall by six with an 85 and lift East Penn (13-7) to a 433 total and third place.
Cole Morrison (84) had low score for Big Spring and Geoff Warke finished second among individual golfers and led Bishop McDevitt with a 79. His round before Wednesday had been an 81.
