This week the PennLive.com high school football Game of the Week is headed to Newville to see surprise 2-0 package Big Spring take on Cumberland County rival Boiling Springs (0-2).

The Big Spring-Boiling Springs contest brought in 39.57 percent of the vote to narrowly edge out the clash between undefeated Mid-Penn powerhouses Cumberland Valley and Bishop McDevitt (36.15 percent) by just 105 votes.

Mechanicsburg at Northern York was a late addition to the Game of the Week battle but still managed to garner 17.05 percent.

PennLive’s Andrew P. Shay (@APShay) will be at Bulldog Stadium to cover resurgent Big Spring alongside community specialist Terry Parris. Epler will file multiple stories from the event along with plenty of video while Parris will interact with the fever-pitched crowd.

Also on hand will be one of our award-winning photographers who will capture the sights and sounds of the Week 2 winner with photos and videos. If you’re headed to Newville, be sure to keep an eye out for the flying PennLive mini footballs.

Joining Shay on the road are the following PennLive staffers:

Eric F. Epler (Twitter: @threejacker) (@APShay) will be at The Roc off 1 Crusader Way at the Game of the Week runner-up.

John Tuscano (@Johnny-Tusc) will be on Cottage Hill where 2-0 Steel High faces perennial Class A District 11 and All-American League power Pius X (1-1).

David Bohr (@David_Bohr) will be in Polar Bear country where backyard rivals Northern York (1-1) and Mechanicsburg (2-0) clash in an always-heated affair.

Michael Bullock (@thebullp_n) is headed to Landis Field where 1-1 Central Dauphin hosts YAIAA outfit South Western.

Our Lancaster-Lebanon man, Jeff Reinhart (@JeffReinhart77) will be in Millersville for a battle of undefeateds between Red Rose rep Penn Manor and York county invader Dallastown.

On Saturday, Epler will find himself in Chocolatetown where Lower Dauphin tackles their southern neighbor Elizabethtown at Hersheypark Stadium.
