Bailey's throw of 122-7 in Bishop McDevitt's first meet of the year would be a good sign for any javelin thrower, but since it was her first competitive throwing event ever, it was a sign that she is a natural.
By season's end, she won the Mid-Penn javelin title with a 131-4 and the District 3-AA gold medal with a record throw of 137-5. She also was third in the state with a 142-9.
