Manheim Twp. went on a five goal run to start the second half and pulled away from Mid-Penn champ Cumberland Valley for a 21-12 win Thursday night in a District 3 girls' lacrosse quarterfinal at Hershey High School.
Molly Hendrick poured in a game-high 10 goals for the Blue Streaks, who will face Penn Manor in Tuesday's District 3 semifinals. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m. back at Hershey High School.
Toni Yuko added five goals to the winning cause, while Emily McBride contributed two goals and seven assists.
Cumberland Valley, which lost for only the fourth time, was within 10-7 at the half before MT's early second half run. Rachel Harman and Caitlin Rhoades combined for nine goals for the Eagles, while Emily Brunie had five assists.
