With a little over a week left in the regular season of the high school boys' lacrosse, neither the Mid-Penn Commonwealth nor Keystone Divisions have been officially clinched.

But we're getting awfully close.

First, the easier scenario.

Hershey has already clinched at least a tie in the Keystone Division after Tuesday's 12-6 win over State College. The Trojans, 10-0 in Mid-Penn play, hold a full two-game lead over second place Central Dauphin (8-2).

John Schein's club has two games remaining - Mechanicsburg (Thursday night) and Chambersburg (May 7). One win in either of those games and Hershey clinches the division and a berth in the Mid-Penn championship game.

The Rams, who are in good shape to make the District 3 playoffs, would need to win its last two games and have Hershey fall to Mechanicsburg and Chambersburg just to clinch a tie.

Now for the Commonwealth Division.

Carlisle (9-1) has wire-to-wire, but Trinity (8-2) refuses to go away, despite the Thundering Herd's win over the Shamrocks on Apr. 18. Carlisle can clinch a tie for the Commonwealth crown with a win Thursday night agaist State College.

Steve Kidder's club also clinches the division outright with a win and a Trinity loss.

The Shamrocks need to win their last two games and have Carlisle lose once in order to fore a one-game playoff for the Commonwealth title.

If there are any division tiebreaker games, they will be played on May 9 with the Mid-Penn championship taking place on May 11. If both division titles are clinched before then, the Mid-Penn final will be May 9 at Landis Field (7 p.m.).
