PIAA Class AAA wrestling: Match-by-match summaries from the championship finals

A quick look at each of tonight's championship bouts, updated at the conclusion of each weight. Click on each link to get to that weight's completed bracket.
106 pounds: Greater Latrobe freshman Luke Pletcher broke a 2-2 tie midway through the second period with a run of three straight takedowns. He put the finishing touches on an 8-2 win over Solanco junior Connor Sheehan with a late double leg.
113 pounds: Parkland junior Ethan Lizak's run to a second straight PIAA title was far from easy. He wrestled tight matches in the quarterfinals and semifinals before capturing a 3-1 victory over Norristown's Zack Fuentes in the championship final.
120 pounds: Hempfield Area sophomore Sam Krivus ended his second straight season with a win over Canon-McMillan's Dalton Macri, this time for PIAA gold. Krivus led from start to finish and registered a 3-1 decision on the strength of a takedown late in the first period.
126 pounds: In a battle of 2012 state runner-ups, Canon-McMillan's Connor Schram got on the board with a 5-3 win over Franklin Regional sophomore Michael Kemmerer. It was Schram's second PIAA title and first since his freshman season in 2010. He finished second in the 2011 and '12 tournaments.
132 pounds: Franklin Regional junior Tyler Smith climbed out of an early 2-0 hole against Cumberland Valley's Patrick Duggan, taking his first lead with a takedown late in the second period. He began the third in top position and rode out Duggan, winning his first state title with a 5-3 decision. For Duggan, he adds a runner-up finish after taking fourth place as a freshman.
138 pounds: Father Judge junior Galasso exploded off the whistle in the first overtime period, locking in a deep single leg on Central Dauphin senior Tyson Dippery. In a match that featured just two escapes in the opening six minutes, Galasso needed just 16 more seconds to nab the winning takedown in a 3-1 overtime decision. Dippery, who had second and third place finishes to his credit, adds another silver medal to his collection.
145 pounds: Canon-McMillan's Solomon Chishko opened his match against Cedar Cliff's Christopher Vassar with a takedown and two quick nearfall points, building a 4-0 lead that he wouldn't relinquish. Chishko remained in control throughout and added another takedown at the buzzer for good measure in an 8-0 major decision victory.
